PROGRESSO E LAVORO has been operating since 1974 and is specialized in “construction, overhaul, repair, machining and transformation of wagons and railway carriages. Transformation of metal structures, interiors, furniture and installations for wagons and railway carriages.” Since 1974 the company has strongly grown, and the accumulated experience combined with quality of the products and services provided represent the winning formulas to adequately address the national and international markets. The constant technological evolution, increased competitiveness, the always more detailed kind of demands, give us the opportunity of being chosen and appreciated today by our customers, this also means qualifying our enterprise in terms of efficiency, quality, price, reliability, and service.
The management considers quality, identified as the system of management of business processes, the primary factor for achieving company objectives and satisfying all internal operators and all interested parties with whom the company interacts.
Management, sensitive and fully aware of the implications of the concept “quality, environmental protection and workers” health and safety” resulting from activities, recognizes that a responsible economic strategy appears to be essential for the success of the organization, for the satisfaction of the customer and of all stakeholders.

- Promoting cooperation and coordination between the various company resources also through regular meetings to obtain a continuous improvement of the level of quality of service, attention to aspects such as environmental and occupational safety and health.
- Prioritizing corrective actions and internal investigations to protect workers safety and health, to significantly reduce accidents, work diseases, and non-compliance to safety regulations.
- Taking the necessary steps to prevent and deal with accidental events and emergency situations.
- Adopting change plans to control temporary changes and permanent ones which impact on the quality of new and steady services, the environment and occupational safety and health.
- To sensitize and to involve our suppliers’ privileging technologies and products characterized by minimal environmental impact.
- Promoting communication both outside and within policy, objectives, quality, environment and safety programs and services, maintaining a close dialogue with the different stakeholders (customers, employees, authorities, control bodies, etc.) to share their management principles.
- Encouraging consultation and participation of workers and their representatives, in the firm belief that, to achieve safety objectives, their active contribution is essential.
- Spreading within the company, through a constant action of awaking awareness, a culture aimed at the implementation of forms of correct behavior in terms of safety.
