Transformation of 72 UIC-Z1 railway coaches, formerly operated by Trenitalia and now owned by Arsenale Express S.p.A., as part of the development of the new luxury train, Orient Express “La Dolce Vita”. The project involves the conversion of existing rolling stock into a fleet of six luxury tourist trains, each consisting of 12 coaches, designed to provide an exclusive travel experience along some of Italy’s most iconic and scenic routes. The scope of work includes complete structural refurbishment, overhaul of onboard systems, integration of new technologies, and upgrades to meet the highest standards of comfort, safety, and reliability. Each train consists of the following coach types: Suite Cars (VLS), Deluxe Cars (VLL), Staff Cars (VSTAFF), Restaurant Cars (VR), Bar Cars (VB), and Power Generator Cars (VGEN). This project represents a highly complex engineering and manufacturing challenge, aimed at transforming conventional railway coaches into a state-of-the-art luxury hospitality train, combining the excellence of Italian design with the most advanced railway technologies.
